Four upscale couples arrive at a large New York townhouse to celebrate the 10th wedding anniversary of Deputy Mayor Charley Brock and his wife, Myra. Instead of a party, they find a disaster!  Myra is missing, the household staff has vanished, and Charley has locked himself in a bedroom after accidentally shooting himself in the earlobe with a handgun.  Fearing a massive political and social scandal, the first arriving couple—Ken and Chris Gorman—and each subsequent pair of guests conspire to hide the truth from the next people who walk through the door.
